Horoscope Makeup Series: Virgo (August 23- September 23)

[I just want to say that I got my information from a few different websites that I used to research about each horoscope before I created my looks, this is just what I personally came up with]

I wanted to create a glittery look since the lucky stone Sapphire has many dimensions to it. I used grey under the eye to represent Mercury, which is a off white grey coloured planet and brown for the water line, since its element is Earth.

Watsons Disney Polish ~ 46

Number 46 is a deep fuchsia pink with iridescent blue/purple shimmer. This polish is just stunning, it has so many dimensions and it looks lovely both in sunlight and artificial light.

The application was smooth, it wasn't too thin or thick. I applied three coats, but I think I could have just used two on some nails. It was very quick drying and dried smooth, not gritty.

One of my favourite polishes is OPI Be A Dahlia Won't You, which is the closest colour I have to this one. However the OPI one doesn't have the blue shimmer in it, which really attracts the eye and gives the polish another dimension.

I didn't mention this in my previous post about the Disney polishes, but the character on the bottle does not have any relation to the actual polish colour, for example this is number 46 and it has the queen of hearts, I have another number 46 which is obviously the same colour, and it has Maleficent on it. Just wanted to mention that because I didn't realise that until I got a second bottle!

Essence Polish 38 - Choose Me! (Mermaid nails anyone)

Essence Choose Me! is a blue jelly with gold and green small glitter. This is 3 coats, however you can still see my nail line  (which I hate! grrr), and you don't really get the effect of the goldy/green glitter. I wasn't going to give up on this little polish so I thought maybe I should try it over a black, this is what happened...

IT'S AMAZING!! I totally felt like a mermaid with these nails...well, an evil mermaid hehe!

Again, Essence is only available right now in Singapore at the Ngee Ann City Watson's.  And you can pick up this polish for under S$4.
