Collective Haul

Hey everybody!

Here is a few things that I have picked up over the last couple of months, thanks for reading :)

I have wanted one these bags for ages, and even though I know that isn't a real one (I think it's from a French brand, I have no idea) but I still think it's great. Also, it's purple which is my favourite colour :)

I got these two candles from Daiso which is a japanese store where everything is SGD$2. I love this shop! They sell everything from stationary, false eyelashes to a kitchen mop haha. These candles are 3 oz a piece, and in the scents Fruit Cocktail and Vanilla Cupcake. I really like Fruit Cocktail because it is really sweet and fruity and great for summer and Vanilla Cupcake is really sweet and bakery scented. YUM!

To be honest I wasn't really expecting these candles to really scent my room because they cost $2 but I had them on the other side of my room to where I was and it smelt like I was sitting right next to the candle! I will definitely have to try more of these :)

I thought that I would try out the first two books in the Dexter series seeing as I absolutely love the TV show (especially the last series!) So the first book is Darkly Dreaming Dexter and the second Dearly Devoted Dexter by Jeff Lindsay. I love these covers, they definitely will look cool on the bookshelf  :)

L-R: MAC Blush in Well Dressed, MAC Cremeblend Blush in Something Special
L-R: Well Dressed, Something Special

Something Special is a coral-peach colour and has sparked my interests in cream blushes because it is such a nice consistency and easy to apply. Well Dressed is a light baby pink with a lot of silver shimmer. This blush is great for everyday and it easy to apply because it is so light and it won't be so noticeable if you overdo it (unlike Something Special). It also makes for easy application because I can use it as a highlight because it leaves a nice sheen on the cheeks. Both Cremeblend and Powder blushes retail for SGD$35 (totally worth it!)

New Look 3D Butterfly 6PK

Originally SGD$13.90 - 10% discount from membership card: $12.51

New Look 3PK Enamel Flower Heart Earrings
Originally SGD$13.90 discounted down to $9.90 - 5% discount from membership card: $9.40

Sometimes I find shops really frustrating. When I originally picked up this set of earrings it didn't have the discount sticker on and it wasn't even in the discount section. When I went to pay for the earrings there was a sale section so I thought I would just look at what was on sale, and right there smack dab in the center is a whole bunch of these earrings on sale for $9.90! I would have paid an extra $4 (I know that's not a lot, but it's still $4 right!?) So I swapped them over and got the set on sale haha.

the little things she needs TSN-JEMXOOO7

the little things she needs is becoming one of my favourite stores. I don't know what other countries have this store, but it is a relatively new store here in Singapore. These earrings cost only $7.90 and since they have a pearl and they are purple, what else could I ask for!

Forever 21 Burnished Silver/Clear

I have been looking for angel wing earrings for so long after I saw that michele1218 from youtube had started her own etsy store and was selling her angel wing necklaces and they look so amazing. I got these from the Forever 21 that has just open in Orchard Xchange for $6, you really can't beat Forever 21 pricing.

Forever 21 Multi Pack (12 pairs)
Guess how much these where?...........$9! They are so pretty and I love them, total bargain :)

MAC Surf Baby Lacquer in Hangin' Loose

Winmax Brand (from $2 shop)

GAH! I still don't know if I like this polish, it's super thick  making it difficult to apply.

What have you brought recently?

See you next time!

My OPI Collection + (Upcoming Swatches)

Hey everybody it's Bex :)

I live in Singapore so OPI's are quite hard to come by, my first OPI that I got (Yodel Me On My Cell) was in Sephora and it costs about SGD$32! Which is pretty expensive for a nail polish. So I had been surfing the web trying to find a legitimate website in Singapore that sold OPI and I found www.nailsg.com which sells OPI for SGD$15 (or $12 if you buy in bulk). So I placed an order and it was delivered the next day! So if you live in Singapore I would definitely suggest checking the website out, the owner Audrey is really nice and the customer service is wonderful. She also sells Zoya, TINS, Orly, Nail supplies and much more.

So this is my OPI collection so far:

Burlesque Collection:
L-R Rising Star, Simmer & Shimmer, Show It And Glow It!, Bring On The Bling, Extra-va-vaganza! and Sparkle-icious

I absolutely love OPI's glitter polishes, but they are the most annoying polishes to take off EVER! It's worth it though don't you think? I think my favourite polish is Sparkle-icious because it looks like a rainbow with the yellow, blue, purple glitter!

Next up is the Katy Perry collection, I had to wait soooo long for these polishes to be re-stocked and to be honest I thought I was going to love Teenage Dream because everyone was saying how amazing it was, however there is an underdog in the collection (The One That Got Away)  that I didn't really hear anybody talk about being excited about which is in my opinion, 100x nicer than Teenage Dream (is the name ironic?)

L-R The One That Got Away, Teenage Dream, Last Friday Night, Not Like The Movies and Black Shatter

L-R: Teenage Dream, The One That Got Away

The One That Got Away is definitely my favourite from this collection, it is an absolutely beautiful polish (I cannot resist reddish-pinkish-purply shimmer polishes :/ ) I was pretty disappointed with Teenage Dream because although it is a beautiful shade, I haven't found the right way to wear it so far so that it compliments my skin tone and doesn't look too girly-girly.

Although I did wear it once over Not Like The Movies (I think that I heard about this manicure from MissJenFabulous (www.polishandpearls.com) but I can't remember now. It was a cute manicure because it was kind of alien like because of the grey/silver and the pink.  I got a lot of compliments when I wore it.

Hong Kong Collection:

I LOVE THIS COLOUR! It's beautiful.

Hong Kong Collection Wish List: Hot & Spicy, Dim Sum Plum, Jade Is The New Black, Pearl of Wisdom.

Matte Collection:

Blue reflex!!

So as you can see this polish is really awesome because it is so bright but it also has a blue reflex, however I really am not impressed by the formula, it is extremely streaky and I find it hard to work with.

Swiss Collection:

L-R: Diva of Geneva, Yodel Me On My Cell, The Color To Watch

Mini Set

L-R: Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous, Yodel Me On My Cell, Color So Hot It Berns, RapiDry Top Coat

This collection is so amazing I want to get more of them! I always wear Diva of Geneva on my toe nails and it looks really pretty and when I first wore Yodel Me On My Cell on my fingernails, I got so many compliments, it was insane, I wore it for two weeks straight and no joke, every single day at school, I got compliments and people asking me what I was wearing.

Shrek Collection:

This is the only polish from the collection which I thought would look nice on my skin tone, I love purples and lavenders/lilacs so this colour is really pretty, however it needs a few coats before it is opaque.

Night Brights Collection:

My Private Jet

This colour is awesome! After I brought this colour I saw swatches of the old formula when it was a holographic polish! I love holos so I was kinda bummed out that it wasn't the old formula however, I still think this polish is really pretty because it is browny- reddish and shimmery but still dark and mysterious.

Texas Collection:

L-R: Don't Mess With OPI, I Vant To Be A-Lone Star

These are two of my favourite polishes, Don't Mess with OPI is really strange because sometimes on my nails it looks like a forest green but sometimes it looks like a brighter green. I never thought I would like green polish, but this is a winner. I Vant To Be A-Lone Star is one of the sherbet finishes and has a extremely pretty effect. (Swatch will be added soon)

What OPI colours are your favourites?

Thanks for reading! :) See you next time!
