At the end of each month they do a segment called the Holiday Challenge, where they attempt to complete all the strange, quirky holidays of the following month in under 6 minutes.
I recently have been buying lots of nail art tools and I have a ton of polishes so I thought that I would attempt a few every month.
So today it is............National Rocky Road Day!!!!
If you don't know what rocky road is, it's a dessert where you melt chocolate and mix lots of goodies into it and then let it become solid again and eat it, and it's goooood. There is also rocky road ice cream. If you want a simple, easy recipe for rocky road you can watch sortedfood make either Milk Chocolate Rocky Road or a non-traditional, White Chocolate Rocky Road.
I decided to do white and milk chocolate rocky road with the pink dots symbolising marshmallows, the green dots are green marshmallows, the red ones are dried cherries/cranberries whatever tickles ya fancy and the yellow dots are the biscuit crumbs!
The whole concept of this manicure in my opinion is for it to be a hodge-podge of dots, no nail alike. Because when you eat rocky road it's all mixed up so you don't know what bits you are going to get.
Polishes Used:
- White, Arezia #604 (I got it from SaSa, $4)
- Brown, essence Snow White Collection in 05 Sneezy
- Red, essence Snow White Collection in 01 Snow White
- Pink, B.O in 01 (Purchased from a stall in Sembawang Shopping Centre)
- Green, Revlon Minted #85
- Yellow, essence Ready For Boarding in 05 destination sunshine
And coat of Seche Vite to finish.
