OPI Skyfall Collection: Live and Let Die

 *Flash*
* Natural Light*

Live and Let Die,  burn the candles at both ends in this private jet black.

Live and Let Die is a dark almost-black forest green with gold flecks. When I first saw the collection, I knew that I would definitely be getting this, and I would definitely say that it is the must have from the collection!

It was fully opaque in one coat. I applied two just because I always do, but I could have gotten away with just one. It dried fast and when removed, didn't leave any gold flecks on the finger or nail. The gold flecks don't texture the polish, it is smooth on the nail.

One reason this polish caught my eye was because it reminded me of the crackle from the Spiderman Collection, Shatter the Scales. Which is a beautiful blackened teal with teal and silver flecks. You obviously can't wear a crackle as a normal polish so Live and Let Die is a nice substitute for that. I can definitely see this being used a lot in the upcoming months!

OPI Skyfall Collection: Tomorrow Never Dies

Tomorrow Never Dies, this eternally intense purple will live forever.

I have been drooling over OPI Ink for so long now, but I never seen to pick it up. This polish is like the baby of OPI Ink, OPI Into the Night and OPI Grape...Set...Match.

It's a rich purple, and it is so hard to photograph! It is much more purple in real life than in my photos but trust me it's stunning!

I applied two medium thickness coats, it applied smoothly due to the shimmer not glitter. It was easy to remove. I applied one coat when I first got it and it peeled off after less than two hours, so I would definitely recommend a topcoat.

Party Nails feat. Forever 21

Hello!

A while ago I brought a nail polish from Forever 21 in Orchard Xchange for S$5, and I brought it purely because it looked awesome.

The particular polish didn't really have a name, but it was called multi.

It is a clear base with blue, orange, red, pink, silver, mint green and gold chunky glitter and also pink, silver and mint green small glitter. It is just a glitter ball, and it's totally awesome.

I got this before I knew about the Deborah Lippmann polish in Happy Birthday. I don't own that polish since I would never pay S$35 for a glitter polish, but I would say that from the swatches I have seen that this polish is a good dupe. And a much cheaper one.

The main difference I think would be that after 3 coats the polish looks like this:

Whereas the Deborah Lippmann one you could probably get away with wearing it alone, however it looks amazing over black (I used essence black is back ).

I couldn't find this one the Forever 21 site, but I found another polish similar called Crystal/Multi (see here) but it is different to this so maybe they don't sell this anymore :'(

*Have you found any Deborah Lippmann polish dupes?*

MUA Love Hearts Polish: I (heart) U

Hello! So this is the last polish in the Love Hearts series, and it ends on a sad note. This little polish had some issues on the journey *whomp whomp* but luckily it only leaked a little, however the brush was completely fraying everywhere and I had to cut some of the pieces off haha.

Anyway I'm going to stop rambling, here is I <3 U

*All photos taken in natural daylight*

I <3 U is a peachy pink nude on me. And are you ready.....this is 4 coats....gaah! Can you see the streaks, again I'm blaming the disastrous manufacturing of the brush. This colour is really simple and easy to wear, maybe on those days when you don't want a really dark colour or a bright colour, this is a happy medium.

Size:
6.8mL for £2 (S$4)

Collection Overview:

I really love all the colours in this collection and I will wear all of them, they are very wearable colours in my opinion.

I like the packaging a lot, it reminds me of when I lived in England, since Love Hearts were one of my favourite sweets!

The formula on the polishes was nice, but the brushes totally let them down. The brush totally controlled the application of the polish (whether it was streaky or smooth).

Another thing I realised is that none of the polishes have ball bearings in them, which are used to mix the polish and stop it from going all gloopy and thick, so it will be interesting to see what happens over time as far as consistency goes.

MUA Love Hearts Polish: U ROK

*All photos taken in natural daylight*

U ROK is a periwinkle/grey creme. This was the only polish from the collection that bubbled when I applied the first coat. However I then applied 2 more coats and the bubbling had stopped, which is good, cause I hate when my nail polish has bubbles in it!

This polish was probably the most sheer from the collection, even after 2 coats I could still kind of see my nail underneath, so I applied the third coat thicker, for more coverage. (:

Size:
6.8mL for £2 (S$4)

Sometimes I think to myself that U ROK and LOVE U 24/7 look similar but they actually don't....but I still get confused! So if you decided to skip one or the other because they were too similar here is a comparison:

Top: U ROK
Bottom: LOVE U 24/7

MUA Love Hearts Polish: LOVE U 24/7

Hello!

*All photos taken in natural daylight*

LOVE U 24/7 is a pastel lavender creme. It took me 3 coats to make this particular polish opaque. Again, the brush was just so annoying!

Purple in general is my favourite colour so I love purple polish of any shade :D ehehhe
and I would say this colour would look nice throughout the year.

MUA Love Hearts Polish: U R FAB

Hello!

Next up in the Love Hearts series is.... U R FAB

*All photos taken in natural daylight*

U R FAB is a dusty raspberry-purple rose creme. This was opaque with 1 coat on some nails, 2 on others. I found this polish was less streaky than the previous colour, I WANT U
And I think it's because it had a slightly better brush.

I think this may be my favourite from the collection. And although I get a kind of summery vibe from the collection, this polish definitely screams Autumn!

MUA Love Hearts Polish: I WANT U....to be less streaky!

Hello!

So the first polish that I am going to be talking about is I WANT U.

*All photos taken in natural daylight*

I WANT U is a bright, tangelo creme. This was 3 coats on some nails, 4 on others. I actually love orange polishes and this one is no exception.

Except the one MAJOR downfall! The brushes on all of these polishes are terrible. They are short and have plastic fibres which drag the polish making it streaky no matter what I try.

The formula is nice, with a better brush I would probably only have needed 2-3 coats for it to become opaque. The polish dried pretty quickly.

I've decided to just empty an old nail polish and just use that brush whenever I want to use these polishes because this brush is seriously unmanageable! Maybe that's just my particular ones but then again, ALL of the other brushes are the same. But I mean, it only cost £2 (S$4), so I didn't except it to have a perfect manufactured brush!

Size:
6.8mL for £2 (S$4)

Availability:
I ordered mine from Superdrug. (Sent to my nan's house, my dad was in England for work so he picked it up hehe!) You can find them on the MUA website also.

*If you have these polishes, have you experienced the same problem with the brushes? Let me know down below :D*
